JACOBS DUGWAY TEAM
Our current Jacobs contract provides field and laboratory support services for the U.S. Army and Dugway Proving Ground, UT. We support test and evaluation of chemical and biological (CB) defense systems, incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, and related operational concepts. In addition to these responsibilities, we support non-CB testing at the West Desert Test Center for the DoD and other federal agencies.

Dugway Proving Ground
The US Army Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) serves as the Nation’s Chemical and Biological Defense Proving Ground. It is a large, remote, high desert closed post that employs about 1500 military, government civilians and support contractors.
Within the Proving Ground's 1,300 square miles are the chemical and biological defense testing facilities, acres of remote real estate, and an experienced workforce that is certified to test CB agents and simulants. The Proving Ground staff evaluates and tests CB detection, protection, and decontamination equipment. US and Allied forces often test CB detection equipment here.
The major test facilities are: The Life Sciences Test Facility (LSTF), Combined Chemical Test facility (CCTF) and the Material Test Facility (MTF).
The LSTF boasts 32,000 square-foot of multifunctional biology laboratories. It is the only DoD facility equipped to test with aerosolized Biosafety Level-3 (BSL-3) agents.
The CCTF has 35,000 square-foot of multifunctional chemical laboratories. 52 fume hoods and 27 surety-capable test suites are used to conduct laboratory tests and support chamber and field testing of CB defense systems.
