ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The Department of Biological Sciences is housed in the new, state-of-the-art 110,000 square foot Naraghi Hall of Science and offers programs of study in the life sciences for students seeking a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, or a Master of Science in Ecology and Sustainability, Master of Science in Marine Science, or Master of Science in Genetic Counseling. CAMPUS & AREA:
California State University, Stanislaus serves the San Joaquin Valley, one of the fastest growing areas in the country. Widely recognized for its quality academic programs, the University has 10 nationally accredited programs and approximately 400 full-time faculty. Over eighty percent of full time faculty holds doctorates or terminal degrees in their fields. The University offers 41 undergraduate majors, 24 master's programs, 7 post-graduate credentials, and a doctorate in education serving 8,586 students. New instructional facilities have been built for the unique pedagogy of professional programs, laboratory sciences, and performing arts.
